Grief (August 15, 2022)

I’m here again, staring at your picture in my room

on this same old street, making new moves

wishing you were by my side, no need to curb

You always had the advice, the words I needed to hear

I wake in a sweat hearing your voice echo in my dreams

one day this pain will be just a distant memory

The love I lost when you took your last breath

I hold on to the sight of the last smile I gave you

One day this hurt won’t stop me from seizing the day

I love you forever and again

The sunshines a bit brigher now that you’re gone

Sibling of mine bringing the light to the room

no blood was needed to be my protector

I’ll always remember your point of view

One day this world won’t seem so troublesome

The love I lost when you took your last breath

I hold on to the sight of the last smile I gave you

One day this hurt won’t stop me from seizing the day

I’ll never let you down

Forever at the front of my mind

How could I forget you

Gave me a reason to keep on this

No need to give it back the way it came

Leave the world prettier than you’re use to

Be yourself and smile

I’ll never let you down

Now lets go get this paper

Bring the masses to their knees

Let them see you shining down from the multiverse

There’s no way this is our end

I know I will see you again

cus, I’ll never let you down, again
